My second sweater

Through the wonderful world of ravelry.com, I've discovered lots of really awesome knitwear designers.

One of my favorites is Kim Hargreaves. Kim and her mom create a new pattern book four times each year, and I want to make pretty much everything they've designed. I decided to start with the "Heartfelt" collection, as the patterns I'm most drawn in this collection seem pretty basic, and I don't want to be too ambitious, lest I frustrate myself, which I've learned is a sure-fire motivation-killer.

So, I decided on this pattern, and this yarn (I got a bag of 10 skeins for super cheap!), and I cast on last week.
Pile of yummy yarn!
First row down, 1.7 gajillion to go...
The yarn is nice to work with, and I do kinda like using smaller needles, but I can tell it's going to take a looooong time. It's like 40 days and 40 days of stockinette stitch wilderness. Except it will most definitely take more than 40 days and 40 nights. I'll be sure to keep you posted!
